Elko County Fire Protection District meets at 1:15 with a regular county commission meeting at 1:30. There are numerous weighty agenda items, from capital and technology funding requests to discussion of public transportation to consideration of a feasibility study for a secondary route between Elko and Spring Creek. Elko County is also facing alarming increases in insurance costs through POOL Pact, the Nevada Public Agency Insurance Pool.
