ELKO HIGH SCHOOL INDIANS
MEET YOUR ANNOUNCER: Sam Brown
Possessing a lifelong love for sports, Sam fell hard for play-by-play while listening to Elko Broadcasting legends Ernie Hall and Len Holdren call Elko High sports on for KELK-Elko in the 1980s. His turn behind the mic began shortly thereafter in 1990, and he has been covering high school sports in northern Nevada ever since. In addition to a stint as the sports editor at the Elko Daily Free Press and serving as the Voice of the Elko Indians on KELK for the past decade-plus, Sam is the sports director at EBC, overseeing the expansion of sports coverage to Spring Creek High on KEAU-FM as well as producing our new weekly sports talk show, the Silver State Sports Report.
