Elko City Police Chief Tyler Trouten and Elko County Sheriff Aitor Narvaiza discussed the tragedy of gun violence after a murder-suicide in Elko last week left two men dead, destroying two separate families. The law enforcement officials urge families and anyone with concerns about mental health or aggressive behavior to ask for help in assessing lethal means. Other topics included drug addiction and trafficking after a local suspect was charged with 2nd Degree Murder in the fentanyl overdose death of one of his clients.
