1/25/2024 Law Enforcement - Narvaiza, Trouten

Elko County Sheriff Aitor Narvaiza and Elko City Police Chief Tyler Trouten discussed a police shooting in which a Domestic Violence suspect was shot (1/24) and killed after allegedly pointing a rifle at officers trying to negotiate with him. The shooting happened at the same time deputies were called to an unrelated robbery in which several guns were allegedly taken from a homeowner. The two crime scenes nearly intersected as they occurred within the same vicinity along Lamoille Summit.
