Schools would come under attack in the 2025 lawmaking session. Gurr also said that while he was encouraged to attend the Owyhee School Groundbreaking he did not attend, because the reservation is not in his district, and he didn’t support the kind of lobbying that was done to achieve the rural schools fund in AB 519.
