Elko City Councilwoman Mandy Simons discussed recent action by the governing board. The RDA Sidewalk Project has been delayed for a year after a lone bid for the estimated $1.7M came in over budget. The Boys and Girls Clubs announced a May 16th groundbreaking for the Nevada Gold Mines Recreation Center at 1501 College Avenue. The council is looking to support the project with an additional $1.8M gift toward construction. The Elko City Arts and Council Advisory Board meets Wednesday, May 1 at 4:30 p.m. in council chambers and will discuss various proposed art projects.
