8/5/2024 Elko Live - Chief Judges Kacin & Soderquist

Elko County Chief Judges representing Elko Justice & Municipal and Elko District Courts, Randall Soderquist and Alvin Kacin, discussed changes to court filings to consolidate efforts and streamline functions. The judges also talked about the need for a Justice Complex with enhanced court security and room for expansion. There are also plans underway to create a Mental Health Court to serve a growing caseload of offenders in need of treatment and supervision.
