Elko Police Lt. Rick Moore and Detective Brad Parvin were guests to talk about a variety of cyber scams and crimes being perpetuated in the Elko-area by criminals, thieves and bullies. “Pig Butchering,” is slang for fattening up a potential victim by luring, misrepresenting and extortion. Victims of cybercrimes can call the Elko Police Department to file reports, but the goal of the Elko Police Department is to prevent them from happening.
