Elko City Parks and Recreation Director James Wiley was a guest on behalf of Elko City to talk about numerous parks and rec programs from swimming pool construction to pickleball plans. The golf course is popular, the Snow Bowl has a new computerized lift system, and an urban fishery is in the works. The Sports Complex is out to bid for concrete and other improvements. Goats are grazing noxious weeds throughout the community. Parks and Rec Advisory Board will be looking over 5-year capital plans during an August meeting.
