7/1/2024 Elko Live - School Anderson

Elko County School Superintendent CJ Anderson gave an update on school issues ranging from capital improvement updates to plans for a Hope Squad retreat to encourage students participating in the suicide awareness and support group. Anderson also announced a new program for at-risk middle school students at Adobe Middle School to inspire vocational educational training. The Star Academy received a $1-million-dollar grant from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and has been established to begin in the fall.
