Elko City Manager Jan Baum discussed agenda items in advance of the regular council meeting to include bonding $14-million for a water modernization plan, plans to upgrade outdoor pickleball courts, endorsement of a Federal Bicycle Trail through Elko and a proposal to reserve some 5.6 acres of city land near Kittridge Canyon for a Boys and Girls Clubs possible Elko Event Center. Elko City leaders are also approving changes to a smaller Skywest aircraft to provide commercial air service to and from Salt Lake City from the Elko Regional Airport.
