Elko County Assessor Janet iribarne discussed property tax caps, rebates, and incentives for veterans, widows and agricultural owners. The Assessor’s Office is urging property owners to examine records to realize at 3% rather than 8% cap. The County website is also updated with information online. The assessor is cautioning residents to be aware of scams or aggressive tactics either through the mail or online that could target property owners.
