Vice Mayor and Councilwoman Simons discussed agenda items in advance of the regular board meeting. The Redevelopment Agency is eying a bid of $2.3M for the Downtown Sidewalk Renovation which is about $300k more than anticipated. The council will also consider a request by the Boys and Girls Clubs for as much as a $1M contribution toward Pool and Recreation Center construction. The council is also moving ahead with a City of Elko Water Modernization Plan to include requiring city water meters moving forward.
