The Elko City Council will be reviewing the 2024/2025 Fiscal year Budget to include Enterprise Funds and the Insurance Internal Service Fund when the council meets in regular=ar session this afternoon. The council is also considering civil action against the out-of-state owners of a declared nuisance property at 8th and Idaho. The city will likely offer a letter of support to the Nevada Classical Academy of Elko, a proposed charter school. The city is also poised to pursue a water rate increase in advance of a 5-year-plan to modernize the city water system by requiring water meters for all residences.
