Elko Senior Center Director Matt McCarty encouraged listeners to support the center capital campaign for a new building to begin with the purchase of a 9-acre parcel near the Elko Peace Park. The Senior center delivers 165 Meals on Wheels to senior recipients in Elko and Spring Creek each weekday. Donations offset food costs which are rising.
