February is Career & Technical Education Month and Elko County School District CTE Facilitator Heather Steel talks about the significance of workforce development in preparing students for life upon high school graduation. There are numerous local programs to choose from including the ongoing Wildland Firefighter Training Academy, development of a Food Science Lab on the SCHS campus, and training in medical fields, education and mining.
