Elko City Manager Jan Baum highlighted accomplishments and previewed the year to come by naming several projects and achievements within the city. The city is examining current water rates going into 2024, is eyeing water and sewer infrastructure and keeping tabs on construction ranging from the LDS Temple to townhomes and commercial development. The city will meet next on January 9th, 2024. The city will host a municipal election in 2024 to fill a seat being vacated by Vice Mayor Mandy Simons who is term limited. As of this broadcast, first term councilman Clair Morris has not indicated whether he will seek reelection.
