Elko County Sheriff Aitor Narvaiza and City Police Chief Tyler Trouten discussed several issues ranging from the search for an elderly woman reported missing from Currie, a successful rescue of a stranded hunter from Carson City and ongoing efforts to assist mental health patients and their families. Local law enforcement say they do not have plans nor adequate resources to deport illegal residents as promised by the incoming presidential administration. They will continue to deport illegal criminals with support of ICE as has been routine.
