The Elko Area Chamber of Commerce is kicking off the New Year with goals for 2026 and continued outreach to more than 700 members regionwide. A Board Retreat yielded brainstorming and many more ideas for events and activities that support local business. The Chamber is ramping up for local elections in 2026 and the annual Home Show in May.

Elko City Parks and Recreation Director James Wiley along with City Aquatic Manager Nikki Johnson were guests to talk about the new Nevada Gold Mines Recreation & Aquatic Center. Johnson is retiring after 38 ½ years with the pool beginning as a swim instructor.
