Motorcycle Safety - The Department of Public Safety Nevada Rider Program
The Department of Public Safety Nevada Rider Program Conducts motorcycle classes in Nevada to educate riders. These classes are for both new and seasoned riders. Upon passing this class, students are able to receive a motorcycle endorsement (which is required by state law) and learn lifesaving skills as a rider. In 2012, there were 38 motorcycle motorcycle fatalities in Nevada. In 2013, this number increased to 58 motorcycle fatalities, which is a 39% increase. These classes will educate riders on how to manage risks and make good decisions when riding. The Department of Public Safety would like to help reduce motorcycle fatalities statewide and ensure that riders are legal when riding.
